Aizu is famous for sake, that is because of fine-quality rice produced in this area. Also a large amount of snow in winter becomes meltwater, and stored as clear underground water. Those high-quality rice and water are necessary for the good sake.

Aizu Miyaizumi Sake Brewery
Miyaizumi Sake Brewery was established in 1954. The workplace is open to visitors as a meseum, and Sake tasting is available also.

Suehiro Sake Brewery and Sake Museum Kaeigura
Established in 1850, Suehiro Sake Brewery has been an oasis for Sake-lovers of Aizu. The wooden structure is very impressive.

Tsurunoe Sake Brewery
First established as Eihoya in 1794, it was renamed Tsurunoe in the early years of Meiji era. They follow the traditional process of making Sake.

Aizu Homare Brewery
Their products have won many "gold" prizes in various Sake competitions. Unreian, a beautiful Japanese garden, is placed by side.
